Bio: Victoria M. Sanchez is the author of the picture book Pilar's Worries. She hails from sunny San Diego and lives in foggy San Francisco with her family, a dog, and a goldfish. She holds an MFA in Poetics and has published in Big Bridge and Highlights' Hello Magazine. When she is not writing stories and poetry, she spends her time trying to raise good humans. Although she has been a grown-up for a very long time, she still loves books for children and continues to believe they are magic. This is her first book.
Pilar's Worries description: This sweet book introduces the story of quiet Pilar, a girl who worries about a lot of things, especially too much attention. Luckily, Pilar's worries are no match for her love of ballet - when she is dancing, she is calm and strong. But when Pilar finds out she must perform in front of judges to be in her favorite ballet, she doesn't feel calm at all! To dance in the show she loves, Pilar must decide which to listen to - her fear of the limelight, or her desire to dance.
